Founded in 1998 by Alejandro Clément, a marine biologist with an M.Sc. in oceanography from Oregon State University. This company was born in the closet of his home along with his microscope. In its beginnings with consulting services and water analysis.

Since Alejandro graduated from university, he has had a great interest in phytoplankton, being the creator of this market for different aquatic products in Chile.

Always at the forefront, Plancton Andino continued to evolve and in 2006 built its current offices and laboratories in Puerto Varas. In parallel, in the early 2000s, a branch office was opened in Castro, currently led by Roberta Crescini. Already in 2016 a third laboratory is opened in Coyhaique, led by Carmen Gloria Brito. Achieving coverage in all regions of the southern austral south.

People have always been a fundamental pillar in the organization, considering integrity and professionalism as part of the team. Great people have passed through this organization and have continued their academic training with PhD and studies abroad. Plancton Andino is proud to be a company that cares about providing excellent training to its employees.
